Lowery has forgotten SIU"s formula for success, get freshman recruits and red-shirt some of them so they can learn the system and they really produce their jr. and sr. seasons, it usually takes a couple of years to teach a player how to play great defense so most J.C. players are not good at defense when they first arrive.

He may have also burned his best bridges in and around St. Louis...
In years gone by, SIU has won with tough players out of St. Louis & Missouri like Falker, Tony Boyle, and Tatum...(even though those were NOT Lowery recruits)..
But now, even those kids out of St. Louis that he had, like Booker and Roundtree - he's ripped them as quitters and ran them off.....
his roster next year for the first time won't have a Missouri kid, and won't even have a single kid from anywhere close to Missouri!
Now he's reduced to beating the bushes in rural southern Indiana for talent like Jordan Myers & Kendall Surles-Brown, and chasing tons and tons of juco kids and transfers.....
