I'm not gonna take swipes, and this isn't meant to be a rip on anyone, but for the times that I've been at Markin and watched some of the workouts and pickup games, I haven't necessarily been impressed by JP. He seems to be an incredibly hard worker, but also seems to lack a lot of tools that it takes to be a dominant big man. I would feel more comfortable with him playing the 4, and if we see significant minutes out of him this year, that will be a surprise to me at least. I can see him coming along in his junior and senior years, but right now I think its too early to count him as a significant factor for next years team. Again, this is just opinion based on observation.

I put this lineup in the DD thread, it gives us time with 2 posts when we need to go big, if gives us length with 6'5 AW and 6'8 MK at the 3 spot without sacrificing a perimeter threat at the 3. AW is a good rebounder too. It gives us a number 1 defender in DD, gets the backups a good chunk of playing time, and makes us a dangerous 3 point shooter/fast breaking yet still strong defensive team. Without the final scholarship filled:
SM(25)/DSE(15)
DD(25)/JE(10)/DSE(5)
AW(25)/MK(8 )/WL(7)
TB(25)/JP(10)/WE(5)
WE(15)/MO(20)/AT(5)
Not that I know much, and I'm sure JL will put together the best lineup, but I like that. I think people want TB at the 3 because of rebounding, but I think AW and TB at the 3/4 are good rebounders. The problem was the 5 spot rebounding which being the biggest rebounding position made our whole team look bad at rebounding. I don't think TB at the 4 was the problem rebounding, you fix the 5 spot with an improved WE/MO/AT, I think you fix the whole problem.

Maybe in the future, but right now at least I don't feel he is good enough as a defender, ball-handler, or 3 point shooter to play the 3 when most teams play 3 guards or at least a SF with a perimeter skill set. Also I feel DD has to be out there to be our number 1 defender as I stated in the Dodie thread. I feel JP can be a strong back up 4 along with WE playing there sometimes too when we need to go big with 2 posts.

I don't break-down and analyze the team like some posters but I do enjoy reading through everyone's thoughts and I never get put-off or frustrated with anyone's posts. Let's keep the perspective that this is for fun!

As I said in my post, JL knows far better than me and he will do what is best I'm sure.
As I have said many times before I love to speculate on and discuss Bradley basketball especially in the offseason for fun. Without harming or bashing anyone, I don't see what's wrong with that. It's all in fun and I think part of why this board is here.

I don't know how others feel about themselves, but I consider myself to be a first rate arm chair coach and recruiter!
Why should sports writers/broadcasters have all the fun for themselves?
Isn't speculation one of the major attractions of an Internet Forum?
If all I really want are facts I can always go elsewhere!BUilding for the Future

I agree haha I'm just way way too excited about next season to just sit and wait.
I like the above minute breakdowns, and i agree i think our starting five will probably be
DD
SM
AW
TB
WE
hopefully we can get some solid support from DSE, JE, MO, and JP. I would love to see JE really step up like he was at the end of the season because with DD,SM, and AW graduating we are going to need someone to step in the year after.
