My fear is that he gets hired by some other team and takes them to the championship!
Thank you, someone is on my side. I mean really, what did people expect from this team from the start, much less after all the injuries? I remember it not being too much.

By the way, While Gar was stumbling over his words and Pax apologizing for HIS actions in the press conference, Vinny once again showed class on his way out, thanking the Bulls right after they fired him! Hope he lands on his feet, he deserve it IMO.

Let me ask you this, Gar spent the whole time praising Vinny and saying this organization is better than it was 2 years ago because of Vinny, but to grow more the team needs to go in a different direction. How does that make sense that he can advance them some under him, but not anymore? What evidence is there that shows he can't advance the team anymore or that he should be let go? Especially if he had a big name free agent to add to his team.

Also I never said the Ben Gordon thing didn't make sense, but it hurt Vinny, especially if he wasn't going to be there to reap the benefits of losing him in the long run with the extra cap space this offseason. Same with Salmons. That is 2 of the Bulls better scorers and shooters, how much more did you want him to lose and still win?

It's all about the free agent market guys... these top 1-6 players on the market do not want to play for a coach like Vinny... first of all- he is on the sidelines looking like a deer in headlights. He has 0 head coaching experience... in the words of Colin Cowherd- "He doesn't pass the eye test." This has more to do with it that many people realize IMO

I don't think it had more to do with "the eye test", I think it had everything to do with "the eye test." Gar gave no real negatives or reasons to get rid of Vinny in the press conference, basically he just wasn't an attractive enough option as the Bulls coach. He was an unknown young coach, but they hired him knowing that, so they should have stuck to their commitment. Not gone off perception, and public appeal. While many in Chicago agree with the move, many others don't, so I think the situation was bad for PR as stated by Dwade.

Also Lebron seemed to back Vinny in his comments as far as free agents, but we will see I guess if we get anybody. I think Lebron would love a coach that would give him freedom like Vinny gave Drose. So how do you know they don't want to play for him? Players don't care about coaches in the NBA other than what they will let them do. Vinny was a players coach that gave freedom, and I think NBA free agents would like that. Just my opinion though.

Vinny is reportedly hired by the Clippers. I wish him the best as a person who really liked him, but the Clippers are not an ideal situation. Does not appear as though they will get any major players in free agency either.

The Los Angeles Clippers have reached an agreement in principle with Vinny Del Negro to become the team's head coach.
