One of the names on the NBA draft early entry list that is not included on the above list of D1 college players, but who is getting a little national attention, is John Sloan of Huntingdon College, a small private Methodist church affiliated college in Montgomery, Alabama. Huntingdon is NAIA Division II (non-scholarship).
The team was 11-14 this past season. John Sloan played in 22 of their 25 games, did not start any games, averaged 10.1 minutes per game, and averaged 2.0 points per game, 1.0 rpg, and 0.9 assists per game.
He was 5-17 from three for the year (29%), and shot 10-17 (58%) from the free throw line.
I am going to go out on a limb with a prediction and say that I don't think John will get drafted.
One interesting note- one of his teammates at Huntingdon College was Chris Roberts, a senior who averaged 4.5 ppg.
