No need to apologize amckillip. You two are within the rules IMO..... and I applaud your lively discussion.

Not at all! you could make it a bit more like South Park style and I'd just LMAO. You know now our expectations for your avatar will be that much greater. I always expect a certain look from B4L's.

Just don't let it get to the point where one of you grabs one of the bar stools and breaks it over the other's head!

Sad how its come down to some that being a good disciplinarian and graduating players is reason to put a highly paid coach on a pedestal. IMO, this should be a job requirement, not a measure of job success.

Why do so many Les supporters always use the argument that it is either - or in college basketball, that a mid major coach can't be successful without cheating and ruining the diplomas of the universities' graduates?

Side note, If one only values their school/diploma based on the integrity of the sports programs, they must not think much of the rest of the institution...

I don't think I have ever experienced the 'man crush' so many pro JL posters have for him. They are so smitten that there can be no other one in the universe who could ever be as good. Kind of the way I felt when I met my first wife....

Geez man, for the last time we're not saying they are mutually exclusive, please STOP putting words in our mouth. MANY coaches are not good disciplinarians (ILSU), and don't graduate players (MSU). These are some of JL's strong points and I'm tired of hearing that I have no standards for appreciating and commending those strong points. I don't have a 'man crush' on anyone and questioned JL throughout the year, as did many JL-supporters. I have never said no one else could do the job, as a matter of fact I challenge you to find one person who has said that.

How about some of you JL-haters try some something new and avoid personal attacks when debating. Take a note or two on the posts of BradleyBrave who actually can develop well thought out post citing JL's flaws without going into a personal attack on the opposition or saying people have 'man crushes' and the like.

What's truly sad is that many people here attended Bradley or are at least closely associated with it and still haven't learned how to craft an argument without needing to undermine the other side.

"What's truly sad is that many people here attended Bradley or are at least closely associated with it and still haven't learned how to craft an argument without needing to undermine the other side. "

"JL-Haters"? Who said they "hate" JL? Please let me know when this phrase has been used in this Forum other than by JL supporters to undermine the opinions of the other side...

No one 'hates' JL, they just would like to see more accomplishments over 8 years of time and aren't afraid to try with someone else. Can we leave it at that?

I guess I was dreaming about the posts that claim no one can name a better coach for BU than JL, that JL's graduation rate, integrity, and discipline were reasons to overlook his record, that changing coaches at BU would absolutely lead to years of disappointment and lack of any better success

My argument has been pretty clear, how much longer should BU continue with a coach who has no MVC regular season/tourney titles in 8yrs, and hasn't finished higher than 4th, with, according to lots of supporters opinions on this Forum, very talented players during this time? I'll leave it at that...

            AND

Hope that JL & BU have much success with all the returning talent and recruits which will be available in 2010-11.

              No one 'hates' JL...
You could not be more mistaken. I have PMs and emails from some "fans" who admit their hatred for JL, and try to make the argument that he has been a total failure at Bradley. And those people still express those same sentiments in posts here and elsewhere. There are haters. That's hard to deny.
And most of the demeaning terms I see here are those thrown at the pro-BU, pro-JL fans.

You're right Da Coach. Visit a few of the other BU or Valley boards and you'll see what DC means AZ BU Fan. There are even many anti-JL posts made here. The difference is that our mods delete them since they violate the board rules.

Keep up the good works Moderators!

Clyde Drexler thinks Hoiberg's NBA connections will pay off......

A few more news items at Iowa State --
One of their players (a McDermott recruit) arrested for assault

and already charges bordering on racism that Hoiberg got the job without even ONE minority candidate being interviewed!! --
also similar comments about the Iowa hiring without interviewing a Black candidate....

(this last link says that Chris Lowery lobbied for the Iowa job when Lick was hired, but was never given an interview --
"In addition, records indicated that Southern Illinois coach Chris Lowery had expressed interest in the job through his agent")
