hat being said, I'm glad we have good non-BU posters like Danny Cooksey, Phantom, DU Bulldog, SycamoreFan, and the lot.
It just seemed to me like Rsmit was upset lol.

I like the mixture because we get good viewpoints. I don't like Go Birds...freaking out over rules every 2 posts though.

Nah wasn't upset. Just saying I've seen many over reactions to negative BU posts made on rival boards. I don't have time to be upset, trying to figure out the puzzle of the mystery recruit.

Well, here we are 3 years later and SIU's program is in utter shambles, despite no real instability at the top. Very sad and very bad for our league.
In case my post was interpreted as rejoicing, I agree. It's no good for the mvc and by extension Bradley what's going on in Carbondale.

You obviously forgot about the "Fab Five" isu recruiting class from last year.

          Nevermind.......there are only four remaining.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

            This is spot on.

We don't give enough credit to those who are fans of other teams who come here to spark good conversation and give us the perspective from other teams.

Getting back to the topic versus hurt feelings or opinions.

What is going on at SIU? Lowery atleast from what I am seeing, needs to be put on the spot and answer why he is continually losing players. And not just players but his top players.

You dont have the freshman of the year from 2 years ago walk away and just move on. He owes his program and its supporters reasons for these player loses.

It looks to me like Lowery has completely lost control of the SIU program. Sad state of affairs in Carbondale.

It will be even worse when they blow him out of there, especially if it is after this season. All these juco's and upperclassmen will make for a huge hole to fill for any incoming coach. With the $ problems, I doubt they make a play for much more than a mid level BCS assistant type. Good luck trying to fill 12 scholarships in 2 years with quality players.

3 MVC articles on the front page of ESPN college basketball page

                  Altman
                  McDermott
                  SIU transfers

Wow. MVC has 3 simultaneous ESPN front page events and all are bad for the conference. Well, maybe the Altman departure isn't that bad.

Keep in mind that Jim Les has won as many NCAA tourney games as Dana Altman and done so in several fewer years as a head coach. Jim has also advanced farther in a single NCAA tournament than Altman.

This is very reminiscent of what happened to BU's great recruiting class from a few years ago (Fears, DeArron Williams, etc). I think sometimes there is a reason these stud players "fall" to a mid-major -- grades, attitude, over-rated, etc).

rsmit....you and your opinions are welcome here and nobody has attacked you ...

sad to say, that's 100% different than the way any BU fan would have been treated on the Saluki board...
there are few places in cyberspace where more hostility, criticism, insults, and hate are spewed than on the SIU boards...especially towards Bradley and their players & coach and also towards their fans and quite often towards me directly by name...

Can it be even the least bit surprising that at least some Bradley fans see a bit of irony ?

Maybe it's the SIU fans that should rethink they way they treat others...and not the BU fans as you suggest...

BTW -- very few if any player has ever left Bradley with ill will or bad feelings, and none have been undignifiably booted from the team, as have happened so many, many times at SIU - so there is quite a clear difference, and by simply mentioning it here in a thread shouldn't offend you....since we don't take the harsh and vicious rips that your people on Salukitalk even at your own players and coach!!!
