  • Top State Prospects in Class of 2008

Good article on some of the top prospects in state for 08. Mentions Bradley as being involved with a few.

Here's a quote from the ilprepbullseye piece:

"... Bradley is currently mentioned with a ton of in-state prospects in the class of 2008, which is without question due in large part to the successful run in the NCAA tournament this past March. The Braves have extended scholarship offers to Jackson, Fruendt, Robinson, Roth and Dillard and are also mentioned with both Storm and Parrish."

Hey Big Mike....I noticed what you mentioned the other day and it appears, if I'm reading it correctly, that Fruendt has taken THREE unofficial visits to BU.

Didn't you mention that you noticed the same thing the other day?

Why would a kid take three visits and WHEN is his official visit. Maybe its just wishful thinking but I would hope, if its true, that it means he's REALLY interested in BU.

      Anybody have any thoughts.....

He can't sign for another year, so we have to keep on this kid hard. I know he's friends with Sam Maniscalco, so lets keep the 'unofficial' visits going up until next November's signing day!

BBrave...what do you make of that. I mean the article states that right after they talk about Donovan visiting him. It CLEARLY states "not only that (Donovans visit) but he has allready taken thre unofficial visits to Bradley".

Is this common? When does he come for an official visit if he hasn't allready. Talk about being a BIG fish in the small pond. He could rule the MVC and be the next Hawk/POB.......

With the exposure the Valley is getting I hesitate to even use the term "small pond".....gone are the days where a kid won't get noticed in the poor MVC.

Come to BU....put up some gaudy numbers and punch your Pro ticket....$$$$$$$$

Well, you could make a number of things out of it. Perhaps the coaching staff has already made a great impression on him. Maybe there is a previous relationship with him or his family somewhere. JL has a lot of connections all over, but especially up north. Perhaps he's known Nick for a while. Perhaps Nick already has friends at BU or currently playing for BU. Perhaps his friendship with Sam has caused him to take a hard look at BU, especially after seeing their success last year. It could be a number of things. Whatever it is, it sounds positive.

I don't like our chances if/when the big dogs come a calling, but getting in with kids like this early can only help us.

Sounds good...guess it could mean many things. The thing that jumps out at me is WHY would a scouting rag even know about these visits if it was "just visiting" friends.

It seems that the only reason they would even mention it is if they got official word from him (NF). If they are unoffical visits I would think BU couldn't talk about them.

You are correct though, when you see names like Donovan it crushes you a bit but he may be just looking at the kid where BU truly wants him.

Here's a nice article on Tyler Storm from Geneseo, that BU is recruiting, and it says Bradley will be going soon to Geneseo to watch him.

Man, it would be so nice to get Matt Roth. I think he is the real deal. He can flat out shoot. That would be my #1 target if I was coach Les. He is a program changer. Cross your fingers.

matt is a good player but not a program changer, imo.needs to be more of complete player which means better defense and learning to create his own shot more.with that being said i hope he comes to bu.

No offense flip, but I couldn't disagree with you more.

I have seen Matt Roth play numerous times, and he is much more than just a lights-out shooter. He can handle the ball, rebound, distribute to open teammates and play defense! He is only going to get better with more experience. BU would be extremely fortunate to get a player with his talent.....and range!

"Storm is only a junior and is considered one of the best players in his class from the state of Illinois. He showed all parts of his game, which is shooting the three, taking people off the dribble, defense and dunking in traffic. The part of his game that impresses me the most was his ability to play a number of positions, and he plays hard. According to his father Brad, DePaul offered him a scholarship last week."

They don't make mention of Bradley.
