You gotta watch this...and watch carefully....
Two top European teams are playing for the Championship in Croatia...
The white team (Cibona) grabs a rebound off a missed free throw and hurries down to sink a 3-pointer for the apparent win,
then go wild and celebrate, with extra players, fans, and coaches all over the floor...
The black team (Partizan) realizes that even though the 3-pointer was good to give the white team the apparent win...that nobody called time out,
and there were still 0.6 seconds left on the clock, which stopped after the made basket.
While nobody else seems to notice (and you have watch carefully in the video at 24 seconds), the black team inbounds the ball and a guy takes a nearly
IDENTICAL SHOT TO CHRIS ROBERTS' 75 FOOTER...and it goes in as time finally expires for real.........
and the BLACK team actually wins it as the white team failed to realize the game wasn't over yet and they played no defense!!!
The refs -- who are wearing red shirts with Goodyear Tire advertising on the backs, huddle and decide that the basket counts,
nobody had called time out, and they were reluctant to call a technical on the play since the black team did not cause any potential violation like the white team did with their people on the court!
I applaud the refs, I think they handled this one perfectly........
(one of the players on Cibona is Mississippi State's Jamont Gordon (#5) who helped MSU beat BU in the NIT in 2007..
He is the one that grabs the crucial rebound from the top spot on the lane....)
