Qwest Communications (based in Denver), who owns the naming rights to the Qwest Center in Omaha (owned by the city of Omaha) is being bought by another large communications company CenturyTel (based in Monroe, Louisiana).

But the Allstate Arena in Rosemont is one example of a blatant disregard towards the original Rosemont Horizon name that was named for the city, not for a previous owner. Therefore that name probably should have been left alone.
And I have a feeling that if anyone even thinks of renaming Wrigley Field or Fenway Park to something else, they will be spammed like no one else has ever been!

Officially on July 15, the Qwest Center transitioned into the history books and it became the
CenturyLink Center of Omaha........
it is so new....that even the Wikipedia page hasn't got it right yet...it says...
"CentryLink Center is an arena and convention center facility in the North Downtown neighborhood in Omaha, Nebraska."
