I kind of disagree there TAS. With DePaul BU and SLU, you have all of Illinois completely covered and you can try to compete with U of I who currently owns the state. I can't see, at least in the short term, DePaul stealing fans from Illinois outside the Chicago area, as an example.

Well, the only thing worth covering in Illinois is Chicago, and DePaul is a better option than Bradley for covering Chicago.

To be brutally honest, any wide-ranging conference like the one we're all proposing isn't going to be interested in non-Chicago Illinois. We don't bring enough value to the table.

Back to the conference realignment topic........and it's now coming to not "IF" it is going to happen,
but when it happens then what school's are moving where.......

The main emphasis is on football, and since Kansas and K-State are relative non-powers in football, then any Big 12 realignment might hurt Kansas & K-State the most...

"At this point, KU and K-State are among the Big 12 schools that appear ]
headed for either a bad situation or a worse one. This is the next break
between college sports??™ strong and weak, and KU and K-State may find
themselves on the wrong side of the fault line.

....going to be changes nationally.??? ..Follow the steps...its hard to see the
Big 12 continuing to exist in any meaningful form.
.... KU and K-State are scrambling to save their own existence on the
        national scene."
