Freshman All-Americans

Since the NBA instituted the rule 3 years ago requiring high school players to spend 1 year out of high school before they are eligibile for the NBA, it has produced more Freshman 1st team All-Americans in the last 3 years (6), than there were in all prior seasons since freshmen became eligible in 1972-73 (2).

So are the one and dones good or bad for college hoops? IMO I think the guys like John Wall play more to show what they can do for the NBA than the guys who stick around for 3 or 4 years and play with passion for their school. Just my thoughts although I think it has helped mid majors land better players who would have normally gone BCS.

I agree with you and so does Coach K. Duke does not recruit the one and done. Just like supply side economics, there is a trickle down effect when a one and done signs with a KY or KU.
