If we get a big I'll be positively happy. It seems JL can pull a rabbit out of his hat come summer and get a guy that can impact the team. Think TW and TB!

A true big with Walter is good for me. I'd love to have Wilkins show but we have plenty of needs we could use the third sholarship for so a pure shooter or a slashing athletic forward or a second big would all be fine by me.

I voted a true big and Walter. I want to fill the third scholarship with someone though. Either a transfer, a project, or another big body by the time next season starts. The true big is all I think will make a true difference next year. I don't see any chance with JW anymore so I don't even consider that.

I voted for the trifecta! Nothing wrong with going for the gold!Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

I'll never be happy ~ that's what I voted for, lol. Idk, we will see. My expectations are low for next year, just because I want to try doing it that way for once, instead of drinking cool-aid all offseason. Not that you will see me around here complaining though!Thinking is the hardest work, that is why so few people do it. -Henry Ford
Yeah...I've been in college for a while now and I'm pretty sure that awesomest is not a word. -Andrew E.

Lol the "I'll never be happy!" option gave me a good laugh. I can't bring myself to vote because I want to say I'd be happy with a Big and WL and someone else but I feel like I'm giving up on JW then.
I want it all, be greedy, get JW too! Until JW decides otherwise I want all 3! Course I'd end up being happy without him if we got a big, but for now I want to be super happy.

I want a real basketball player. A guy who wants to be the best, who will work hard and will get after it on the glass and on the defensive end.
We have a big right now who does not appear to have a whole lot of interest in being anymore then a guy with a good seat nightly.
NO nice guy. Ill take Matt Salley. He would work very well with TB, WE. Maybe more exact a Matt Salley with Zach Andrews size and desire.
Not just big project or a tweener. I tough physical presence who can play basketball. I emphasis CAN PLAY BASKETBALL... Not David Collins.

I don't think the question is whether we would have wanted a better, higher scoring player than David Collins....
I can guess every fan of every team would want better players, right??
the question is whether we would have been better off had we simply decided NOT to sign him at all and just keep the scholarship open..
After all...he committed and signed in April, and BU really had NO OTHER big man prospects, so obviously we weren't going to do any better...
BUT-- where would we have been if we simply held and open scholarship and didn't have Collins?
I think we'd have been much worse in 2007-2008 & 2008-2009.....right??

Not sure if we would have or not been worse in those two season but he certainly did not improve us the way a guy 7 ft tall and 240+ pounds should. He also did not improve his game even remotely enough in his 2 years.
If I could go back 3 years and have the decision to either give him the ride or hold it there is no question holding his ride back would have been the better move. He was tall but thats it.
