  • Walter Lemon is high scorer in All Star game

Here is a summary of the All Star games played Saturday in St. Louis. Game 4 featured teams from Missouri vs. Chicago area stars. The Chicago team arrived just 30 minutes before the game due to traffic problems. Maybe that explains why the Missouri stars ran out to a large early lead. But the Chicago team came back, lead by Walter Lemon. The Missouri stars won the game 98-87, but Lemon was the game's high scorer with 21 points.

6'3" Bradley University signee Walter Lemon of Chicago Julian simply took over the game with his incredible leaping ability and mid-range game. Lemon will be a star at Bradley as he delighted the fans with his quick first step, his precise step back jumpers, and his ridiculous jumping ability. Lemon scored a game-high 21 points.

Well I hope the writer knows basketball. That sounds very promising. I especially like the leaping ability because if he plays at the same time as Donivine Stewart that would be a small backcourt and if he can jump it would help.

The site is run by Terrell Ramey, who sponsored the All-Star games and who coaches and runs the Terrell Ramey AAU program in St. Louis. His AAU team is the best team in St. Louis and Missouri, and he coached a number of the St. Louis and Missouri kids who played Saturday. So there is no doubt he knows talent.

            Sounds like he got game!
I have heard some good things about this kid from people in Chicago.
From PJ Star sports expert Kirk Wessler in his Jan. 10, 2012 column following 8th loss in a row at Drake-
"Yes, the Braves are better than they were when the season started two months ago. By a light year or two, they??™re better."

And from the PJ Star 4/26/12, Dave Reynolds-
"Fields and Grier both appear to be difference makers. If Bradley continues to add the right players around them, happy days may be ahead for the Braves after a long dry spell."

Sounds good. He must have improved on his jumping ability from that dreadful YouTube video.

But Ramey doesn't have the desire to unfairly hype guys like Lemon, after all, Walter has never played AAU ball with Ramey's program or with anyone in St. Louis, and he was on the opposing team that knocked off Ramey's St. Louis kids...
so for Ramey to heap that kind of praise on Walter...I am impressed

Can you hear the BU crowd yelling "JUICE" after blowing by a defender and jammin one home.....

Hope Lemon can bring it to the next level!

Actually, I just watched that again, and Lemon is pretty good with his dunks and shooting in the first few minutes, it's only when he gets obviously tired late in the workout that his dunks aren't so good. I don't think Bradley needs him to be a dunker.

Yeah, I don't care if he's a dunker either. I just would have edited those failed attempts out!

I had the chance to talk to him when he visited for the Wichita State game. I would say he is just about 6'2", but not quite 6'3".
