Wednesday Signing Day

I think we'll sign three during this signing period. Since nothing has been announced about anyone else leaving the program, I don't see us signing more than the three spots we currently have available.

If we can't get JW, then Marshall Henderson transfers to us and uses the third scholie to sit this year and step right in next year. This would also make me very happy!

Be optimistic...Lemon, someone say... 6'8" or better and 250 or so...Wilkins is a wild card...I am still holding out some hope there...

I also think this might be the year to consider a transfer with the final scholarship. There are already a lot of decent players transferring, and more to come as the school year winds down.

Seems like when an extra was availible(not used), it has gone to a walk-on for a sememter like Danny Adams or Ryan Phillips.

The consensus is that besides Lemon (why has he remained Lemon and not WL?) we will sign a big , which will make us all happy, and the 3rd open scholarship would be perfect if JW signs but if not let's get the best ball player available regardless if he can play next year.

I'll be real happy Wednesday once my taxes are done and we sign WL and a real big! Anything else would be just icing on the cake. If JW is as advertised and we have that big we could be special next year. If JW decides to go elsewhere well this team with a bit of hardwork could still be special. JW without a big would not be the same, good but not with the potential of top 20 IMO.

Prior to last season, it seemed we usually had an open scholarship or 2. i.e we had one open for JW 2 years ago. Wasn't there a recent time (perhaps due to injury) that we ad less than 10 available scholarship players? Now, there have been times we used an open scholarship for a walk-on, but I am not sure that was ever the long term plan for that scholarship...

I'm not against holding one scholarship for potential game changer vs filling with someone just to fill out the roster..
