They said he was too small, too weak, too soft, and too mild...
well........maybe it's time to rethink for those who doubted......
We don't hear a lot since he's playing in one of the west coast "Death Valley" NBA markets, and their scores don't even get reported as their games end around midnight our time...
he's not even discussed much on the NBA's own hype machine or web site, as I guess they don't think he's as marketable as Kobe and LeBron!!
But check out his stats from last night's game...a career game that he isn't even getting mention or headlines outside of San Francisco.
Stephen Curry - Golden State Warriors...116-107 win over Minnesota...
27 Pts, 14 Ast, 8 Reb, 7 Stl,
He's averaging 17 ppg (2nd among all rookies), 4.3 rpg, 6 apg (best among rookies), 2 spg (2nd in the NBA), 88% from the FT stripe (9th in the NBA and best among rookies), 46% from the floor and 43% from 3 point range (tops among all rookies), and 12 double-doubles (2nd among rookies)
he is going to be runaway choice for ROY, and would probably be doing better had he actually had a decent coach or other talented teammates!
(BTW - ex-Creighton Bluejay Anthony Tolliver was the beneficiary of many of those assists, hitting 14-22 and scoring 34 points for Golden State)
