The truth is, womens baskeball is brutal to watch. I tried watching and i found myself longing for rec league ball at the local gym.
    Can we start winning soon?

All I can say is if teams are firing coaches by not advancing in a 65 team tournament, how many firings are going to occur when teams can't advance out of the first round of a 96 team tournament?!

Another reason why a 96 team tournament is not a good idea since some AD's know very well that just making an expanded tournament won't be good enough!

Personally, I think this is a crock to get rid of a good man who did SO much for your program when it needed his steadying leadership and guidance after Prosser's death. But, Wake has made it clear with this "statement" what they are all about -- $$$$$$$$$. I know they lost my respect and also lost the respect of many loyal Wake Forest fans.
Yup, Royce Waltman was right! They graduate their players and yet now they want to ruin a good thing by winning at all costs! Hopefully if they do hire Brad Stevens (assuming he's looking to move), he would be able to win games without sacrificing academic performance. But if they bring in a Kelvin Sampson type, forget it!

The coach they ultimately do hire will tell a lot about the direction of their program.

WFU close to reaching deal with Bzdelik

This looks like an embarrassing hire for Wake Forest, IMO. Like I said before Wellman will be gone in 3-5.

interesting, as Bzdelik hasn't really been that successful and has bounced around the college game..
He is a Mt. Prospect, IL native...and has a lot of coaching experience but mostly in the pros.

Bzdelik was 25-31 at UM-BC, and
50-16 in his two years at Air Force but they played very weak schedules (2005-2006 their SOS was the worst in the MWC)

then in his 3 years at Colorado - he was under .500 in all three...12-20, 9-22, and 15-16

                  Wake has a new coach

It's now been reported that Wake Forest has hired Jeff Bzdelik as their new coach...... UNBELIEVABLE!

Colorado coach Jeff Bzdelik told his players Sunday night that he will meet with Wake Forest on Monday but said he has not accepted, or even been offered, the Demon Deacons job, according to a university-issued release sent Sunday night.
