I am wondering how a guy goes from "50+ offers" or whatever it was, to 2 confirmed and maybe 2 more? Especially with the glut of players leaving early for the draft...
The Juco thing couldn't have helped, but if all works out he still has 3 years...
Good ? JMM28 Someone have the answer Two bottom of the pile BCS's programs and ONLY, 2 mediocre mid major's programs from the same conference This is a tough one
I could see Wilkins not signing with anyone, playing some AAU ball and waiting to see what BCS team end up with an open scholarship. Then, after all that, if he doesn't get an offer he likes and we haven't filled our last scholarship, MAYBE he will end up at BU. At this point I think he's stringing along several schools, not just us.

Completely disagree. I think that JW will sign with someone (don't know who) in the next couple of weeks.
Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

If he does, he does. It sounds like recruiting-wise we moved on a long time ago and view his arrival as a bonus. As far as playing time and chance at team success, BU and Illinois St are his best options by far. Iowa St and Indiana are both going nowhere fast.
His dad's jersey is not being retired. It is being added to a Ring of Legends. His number can still be used.
Seems sad to me that the 2nd best player in a school's history not only doesn't have his number retired, but it has taken this long to even put him in this Ring of Legends.

It was supposed to be done in February, but Wilkins had a conflict and couldn't make it. The banner is now up.

The difference of 1 year in inconsequential when we are talking about 20+. Even if it had been in February that still seems sad to me. They still could have planned to recruit JW last February too and planned it then.
His jersey number was 44 I believe I saw somewhere in a photo?? That is the number JW had on while dunking in that PJ Star video as well I believe. He is 33 at SE CC
