"All four incoming freshmen in coach Cuonzo Martin's first recruiting class in
2008-09 have since left school. In addition, three scholarship freshmen from
the 2007-08 team, one from 2006-07 and one from 2005-06, coach Barry
Hinson's final three teams, left school during or after one year."
But how does this impact the program? Supposedly if a kid leaves and is eligible and making grades, it doesn't count against the program unless he fails to graduate in a six-year span.

One of the guys on our board did this example
It only factors Zo first year for now,
They calculate it based of the roster per semester by points, i'll just do a few players to keep it simple.
You have 2 possible points per player per semester, one for staying eligible, and one for staying at the school (retention)
So lets say you have the following
3 players, 2 stay the whole year, and stay eligible, they get all 4 points for the year
Player 3 is academically eligable, but decides to transfer at the end of the year, he gets 2 points for the eligibility, one for first sememster retention then misses one for retention for the 2nd semester.
So you would have as follows
Player 1 4/4
Player 2 4/4
Player 3 3/4
Total 11/12=11=.917*100= APR of 917
So this class would look like this assuming people don't transfer
Weems 4/4
Ricks 4/4
Leonard 4/4
Fury 4/4
Jehle 4/4
Mallett 4/4
Pickens 4/4
Jones 4/4
Rhine 4/4
Patterson 4/4
McFarland 0/2
Creekmore 4/4
Porter 4/4
Total 48/50- .96 APR- 960
Last years might have been (not sure if transfers (Leonard and Patterson) count- this is just an example)
Weems 4/4
Fury 4/4
Jehle 4/4
Rhine 4/4
McFarland 4/4
Creekmore 4/4
Knapp- 4/4
Cooks- 4/4
Laurie- 4/4
Hayward-Mayhew- 3/4
Brumfield- 1/4
Hobbs- 0/2
Total- 40/46- .870 APR- 870
Average 88/96- .917 APR- 917 for 2 years averaged

More news on the NCAA academic report is still pending, but now Arkansas State is expecting to be docked at least one scholarship for bad academics...
