I'm sure it's awesome to be at Butler or in Indy right now. I'd like to see it one day at Bradley and Peoria... Butler's restoring my faith that it can be done.
More importantly, they are getting players.

Yeah they're getting players, wins, and respect. I just keep thinking how much we gotta get em into the MVC!

(or get into a conf with them Xavier, Marquette, Dayton, SLU, CU, and WSU)

DePaul. They gotta get out of the Big East.

Yeah no kidding. They're one of the ceterpieces (and the one whose situation got me thinking about the topic in the first place) of my dream conference. Can't believe I forgot about em.

A lot of IU fans want Brad Stevens as coach... How much do you think Crean's buy-out is? haha[/quote]

Stevens is awfully composed for a 33 yr old coach

Also thought it was cool to see Butler sing what I think was their fight song after the game. Really shows some school pride.
I'm not a huge fan of that either. What if MSU made both FT's and Butler could not get the ball in? That would give MSU at least 2 seconds for the win. But I guess that's the correct call if you go by the book.

It gives hope to all the mid-majors out there that it can be done. Heck, even Gonzaga has not made it this far like many thought would have happened by now!

But far as Bradley is concerned, I will just be happy if we can make the Sweet Sixteen again!

I don't have a lot of sympathy for IU fans. They can wander in the desert or 40 years, as far as I'm concerned.

They knew what they were getting with Sampson but made the deal with the Devil anyway.

Crean's claim to fame is he looks really dapper in Armini.

Who? Not me. I doubt anyone would have expected either Butler or Gonzaga to even make a Final 4.

It just so happens that the Ten Commandments is on the other network right now. Very good analogy!

Not me. I actually picked Gonzaga to the Final Four a couple of times not long after their Elite Eight run. They are one of the few "mids" who gets the opportunity to schedule whomever they choose, get some elite type players and run away (most years) with their conference. I really thought the momentum would have led them to at least one Final Four run by now, but I was wrong. The momentum has dropped a bit, but they at least still win a game or two in the tourney most years.

Gonzaga's best chance was in 2006 when they choked against UCLA in the Sweet 16. They should have made it!

Anyone listening discounting Butler by saying the good teams they beat were missing players? His love for Duke is unbelievable. Him and Jay Bilas might as well just admit they have no respect for anyone but Duke... it makes me a little sick.
