Jermaine was from Proviso West High School. He was at Bradley for 2 seasons under Jim Molinari, but he only played 1 year. He was a non-qualifier and didn't play his freshman year (1998-1999), then played in 20 games his sophomore season (1999-2000) averaging 3.1 ppg. He left Bradley and finished his college career after playing 2 seasons at Minnesota State in Mankato, Minnesota, graduating in 2002.
