SIU juco post target commits to Arizona

Jesse Perry, a 6'8" post player from John Logan junior college near Carbondale, he been described by some at one time as a lock for SIU coach Chris Lowery. One of Perry's coaches at John Logan is a former SIU player with Lowery (Kyle Smithpeters). But a great sophomore season raised his stock, and he started getting offers from big time programs like Arizona and UCLA. Sunday, he committed to Arizona while on a visit there.

midstatehoops ranks their top 50 state of Illinois junior college sophomores and Perry tops the list. He's followed by Brandon Dunson (Dodie's brother) and former Simeon guard Lazeric Jones (committed to UCLA). All three are headed to the Pac 10.

Chicagohoops says that Indiana head coach Tom Crean is visiting Moraine Valley to see Dwight McCombs...so I guess Crean is going after just about every available big man before offering Wilkins...
