I would put much of the blame for this on the MVC office and Commissioner for a very poor or non-exixtant national marketing and publicity effort.

Simply stated, the national media is obviously not aware of MVC successes, they don't know much about the conference, The media people who were around when the past successes happened have been long gone and now there are new announcers, writers, etc.

The MVC commissioner needs to get off the dime and realize that he needs a "lights out" marketing/publicity campaign focused on the media and others.
Kind of what I thought when I suggested in my earlier thread that the MVC ought to take out MVC 'infomercials' on CBS during the UNI-MSU game hyping the accomplishments of MVC teams in the NCAA's....What a wasted opportunity for the MVC to get people's attention...

There were people watching the Purdue-Duke game so they could have done it during that game. MVC needs a few consecutive Sweet 16 runs during the NCAA to get the respect it deserves.
