  • UNI - Michigan St.

A tight game underway as UNI is up 23-20 at the under 4 first half timeout. You knew it would be a tight defensive game, but I would not be surprised to see one of these teams break out ahead a bit.

Too many turnovers for UNI, they're late coming off of MSU screens, it feels like MSU is controlling tempo and pace a bit more.

    I'm dubiously optimistic.

This is the first time I have watched this season on the CBS streaming. Their High-Definition stream is tremendous! And how about UNI holding MSU to 22 points, and only 1 basket the last 9 minutes of the first half.
I'd love to see UNI-Tennesee on Sunday!

I think Tennessee is very beatable. And, I had no idea that this was Tennessee's first ever trip to the Elite Eight! Which means "lesser" teams like Xavier, Gonzaga, George Mason, Kent St., and Butler (by 24 hours) have been to the Elite Eight prior to and in some cases more often than a BCS "power" like Tennessee who is often ranked in the top ten!

Just one more reason to abolish the term "mid-major" once and for all!

Great game here. I absolutely love watching UNI play. Everything Bradley should endeavor to be.

Bradley already is like UNI. We beat them once, and almost beat them at their place!

Seriously though, absolutely. When Bradley makes the tournament six or seven times out of every ten years, then we can say we are as good as UNI, Xavier or Gonzaga. Until then though, I will just be happy if we can make the Big Dance next year!

This game looks to be going down to the wire. What else is new?! UNI up 46-44 now.

Yeah, that was a nice win, but UNI is still the vastly superior team. Extremely disciplined and smart with the ball, lockdown defenders, great low post play. The antithesis of the sloppy out-of-control ball BU too often devolves into.

                  Very true.

UNI having some problems making 3's this half, but still down by only 2 at the under 4 timeout. This would be HUGE if UNI can pull this game out.

It feels to me like all the energy has gone their way. They controlled that early second half run and regained the tempo. I think they do it.

Oh boy! Two missed FT's by UNI. Not good! Good timeout.

Ok, check that. Missed free throws are absolutely killer.

PG play and FT's are killing UNI.

That's really tough. If Adam Koch doesn't get in foul trouble, I think this goes Northern Iowa's way.
