  • Conference RPI

The Missouri Valley Conference spent most of the season as the 9th ranked conference in Conference RPI.
But, because of the MVC's success since the end of the regular season, the MVC's conference RPI has risen and now ranks 7th among all conferences, according to WarrenNolan.com, which continues to update the RPI numbers each day.
The MVC has moved ahead of the Pac-10 and the Mountain West Conferences.-

Well, FWIW now, it's still nice to see. Also, UNI now up to #10 on the RPI list.

I love this website, especially the Nitty Gritty page which is similar to the data the selection committee uses. I just wonder how long it will be before this site starts charging a fee to view this!

To be quite honest, conference RPI after the postseason starts becomes way too skewed to be meaningful, IMO. Especially for the mid-majors, where a team's SoS can wildly fluctuate depending on your tourney draw in any of the tournaments.

Still though, this is a good strength of the Valley. The middle of our conference can play with the middle of any conference.
