  • TV for the UNI game?

Anyone know whether CBS will be showing Peoria the UNI game tonight or will we only get a few "look-ins" when the Dukies are on break?

Gotta start making plans if that's the case.

    The short version:

Everyone in Illinois and Indiana = Dook
Everyone else in the midwest = UNI/Michigan St

The problem is Purdue ****blocks Indiana (to be expected) and Illinois (not quite as expected)

Well said. My thoughts exactly. Should be on at sports bars and stuff anyways right?

What a terrible choice by WMBD to not carry the UNI game. We get a big 10 team either way. There's more Valley fans in the area than Purdue fans.

They're not even thinking about UNI and the Valley here. It's all about the Big 10, and they made the call that Illinois is "Purdue" country instead of "Michigan State" country.

I'm not even sure how much of a choice WMBD has in this. It's quite possible they chose Purdue/Dook for the extra Scheyer factor for the Chicago area, and decided that was enough for the rest of the state too.

I am not a huge Illinois fan, but isn't this kind of a crapshoot?

I have no idea. They probably have numbers that tell them more viewers in Illinois would watch Purdue than Michigan St. And that Chicago area wants to see Scheyer.

All tournament games are streamed online for free at ncaa.com (also linked through cbssports.com) for those with a high speed internet connection.

NCAA.com features live video, live scoring, rankings, news and statistics for all college sports across all divisions in the NCAA.

So we can watch UNI beat Michigan St., while the rest of Illinois watches Duke/Purdue!

Otherwise, most sports bars should show both games via satellite.

I guess I'll be streaming the game I most want to watch. Last night our CBS switched from the KY-CU game to the better Xavier-KSU game 1/2 way through!

Also if you are not taking sides the Duke-Purdue game should be better to watch because it should be a more of an up and down the court game.

All the more reason for CBS to stop broadcasting 2 games at once starting with the Sweet 16.

This will be one of the GOOD things that will happen when ESPN takes over the tourney. They will put these games on different channels, so viewers can pick which they want to watch.

I understand they don't want to start games during the day, so that is why they do the 2 game doubleheader at each site.

WMBD asked CBS to change the constant designation to a swing destination. WMBD expects calls from pi$$ed fans
