PEORIA, Ill. -- Fans are invited to attend the annual Bradley Women's Basketball Postseason Banquet April 10 at the Lariat Steakhouse (2232 W. Glen Avenue in Peoria). The annual event, which is sponsored by the Foster College of Business Theresa S. Falcon Executive MBA Program, is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. with lunch served at 2:30 p.m. Tickets for the women's basketball postseason banquet are $20 for adults and $15 for children and may be purchased in advance through the Braves Club Office (309) 677-2667.
Bradley Hall of Fame member Dave Snell will emcee the women's basketball postseason banquet, which will feature the announcement of the annual team awards, viewing of postseason highlight videos and speeches from senior co-captains Renee Frericks (Wyoming, Minn./Forest Lake) and Jenny Van Kirk (Waconia, Minn./Waconia).
The Braves finished the year with a 17-14 overall and advanced to a postseason tournament for the first time in program history after receiving a bid to the inaugural Women's Basketball Invitational. Bradley posted a 69-59 victory at Louisville in the opening round before suffering a 76-66 loss at College of Charleston in the WBI quarterfinals. In addition to tying school records for conference victories (12-6) and best league finish (tied for third), the Braves finished the year with back-to-back winning records for the first time since 1985-86 and 1986-87.

No Post Season Banquet
Bad idea!---It puts us in the position of going against an Athletic Dept. decision. We should support the AD in these kind of decisions and not turn a great message board into a "rump" group of posters.
Come on guys---The season is over---Lets move on.

Hi Wizard
What the heck is a "rump" group of posters????
I personally consider myself more of a "gut" kind of poster vs a "rump" poster..
Wouldn't a simple, "Don't think this is a good idea", reply been sufficient?
FWIW - If a post season fan get together at the "Fieldhouse' where players/coaches were invited to attend if they were interested would irritate the AD and his Athletic Dept at BU, I fear the MBB program at BU is in much worse shape than I thought. The new AD has much more important things to worry about than BradleyFans.com...a group that supports BU MBB more than any other group in the BU Kingdom!BUilding for the Future

Or it can just be a post-season get together... and not invite the team... or someone could just drop a hint to the AD in case they want to say Hi to some loyal fans...
I'm sure if there was a BradleyFans get-together at the Fieldhouse that a lot of people would show...
Plus, maybe some of you would play nice after meeting each other

No Post Season Banquet
Ariz. BU Fan---I hope I didn't offend your sensibilities by suggesting that this message board should not hold its own post season banquet in opposition to what the AD has decided.
At the same time, an informal board get-together with the team invited sounds good to me and I would probably attend.
FYI, a "rump" group is a small dissident group of people who oppose the decision or policy of an established authority or organization.
Don"t forget to invite me!
