Kelly Frings, a 6'2" center for Milwaukee Pius high school, has had a great year. Her team is still alive in the state playoffs in Wisconsin in Division I (the largest class). They are 23-3 and play Thursday (3/25) at 3:15 pm in a quarterfinal game. Kelly leads the team with averages of 13 ppg and 8 rpg.

Kelsey Budd is a 5'9" guard from Sauk Prairie HS, also in Wisconsin. Her team's season ended, but Kelsey finished as one of the top scorers in the state. After averaging 17.2 ppg as a junior, she averaged 19.9 ppg as a senior, to rank 11th in the state of Wisconsin. Her team finished 20-5, and were eliminated in the playoffs.


The 3rd signee is Alyson Spinas-Valainis of Davenport Assumption HS, in Davenport, Iowa. She also had a great season, though her team was eliminated from the Iowa state playoffs in a close loss by the defending state champions. Allison had 21 points and 11 rebounds in the game.

She averaged 19.8 ppg and 7.7 rpg for her senior season.
She was named to the All-State team-

Bradley lost 3 players from this year's team- seniors Jenny Van Kirk and Renee Frericks, and also Michelle Lund, a sophomore who left the team in November.
And I hear Paula may not be done with recruiting yet.

The 6'3" post player from Davenport Assumption held Greg Stokes' daughter, Kiah, (who is being sought by Tennessee, Duke, Iowa, Iowa State, etc.) to a season-low 10 points when Assumption played LinnMar in January. Bradley is getting a great defender with very good understanding of the post game, who moves well, has great hands, and finishes around the hoop. Go Braves!

The only BU women's recruit still playing, Kelly Frings Pius HS near Milwaukee, lead her team to a win in their State quarterfinal game.

Frings, a 6'2" forward had 14 points, including 4 of 6 from three point range. Pius beat Verona 58-41.

BU recruit Kelly Frings had 8 points and 8 rebounds to help lead Pius high school to a 34-23 win over De Pere to win the Division 1 state championship in Wisconsin. It was the lowest winning score ever in a state title game.

Update on the 3 Bradley women's basketball recruits-

In the Wisconsin Division I (largest schools) All Star game 6/19/10, Kelly Frings of Pius HS near Milwaukee was one of the stars for the South team that beat the North 73-69. She was a starter, scored 11 points, and had 10 rebounds, along with 3 assists, 2 steals, and one block.-

In the Wisconsin Division 2 All Star game, also on 6/19/10, Kelsey Budd of Sauk Prairie HS was a starter for the South who lost a close game to the North team 78-72. Budd played a game-high 32 minutes, scored 9 points and had a team-leading 4 assists.-
