Absolutely terrible that Missouri State and Creighton are on the same side of the bracket in the CIT tournament. Very interesting that MSU gets the home game over Creighton based on attendance numbers in the regular season.

The CIT people said they gave us the higher seed over Creighton based on RPI and because of our non-con record which is now 13-1. I wish we could have played each other for the championship but the CIT didn't want that.

I kind of wish they would have played each other for the championship. It's been done before in the NCAA Tournament and NIT, and the ratings would have been higher for a championship game. But that's what the CIT wants apparently. So enjoy the semifinals against Creighton. It should be a wild crowd considering it's the CIT.

I'm also picking up replays of the tournament games from this past weekend. Just got done watching the end of the NIU/Kansas game on DTV channel 613. Xaiver/Pitt game is on now.

I think the CIT tries to reduce travel and they get trapped on these things almost every year with a couple of conferences. Such is life.

Yeah, at least this guaranteed a Valley team in the CIT finals for the second year in a row. Congrats to the MSU for the win tonight. Maybe they can finish what we couldn't last year, FWIW.

#1 seed Illinois used some very selfish play and horrible passing last night to find an exit from the NIT..
Lots of dribbling around and looking for a wild shot to jack up...with only McCamey passing the ball to anyone.
Illinois was 29-77...............and I think 77 shot attempts is the most I have seen in a game in years!!
And Tisdale was non-existent.........although if you are a Demetri McCamey fan or worshipper - you loved this broadcast, since the talking heads dwelled on McCamey and his professional chances for the better part of two hours while a game was going on in the background...

Griffey looks good, so next year, Bill Cole will probably fall behind both him and Meyers Leonard on the playing charts....

Missouri State knocks off Creighton 67-61 in a CIT game that Creighton NEVER led for even a second...
Creighton got decent production from starters (Lawson 21, Young 17, Wragge 12) but nothing off the bench...
Andrew Bock, their 4-Star, Top 100 highly touted freshman who was hyped all last year as their PG of the future...didn't even get off the bench again, and there's heavy rumors he's outta there & transferring......
A Missouri State zone kinda killed Creighton as Ethan Wragge is the only Bluejay shooter that seems able to hit from outside, and not one single guard made a 3-pointer.

Here's the most striking thing in the box score....
Missouri State won this game by 6 and never trailed, BUT...
their best player Kyle Weems was SCORELESS!!!

MSU will now play for the CIT Title...
