second- the kid has gotten enough hype that what I read into this is he and his "handlers" already have a mind that he is BCS-material, it's pretty rare once a kid get that hype that he lands at a mid-major...

so -- tell me why you think BU DOES have a chance other than we always at least have a chance until the "ink is dry" or whatever...
I brought it up because I figured being reclassfied from a 2011 recruit to a 2010 may change the scholarship situations for some of the schools recruiting him.

Reeg can really shoot the ball but the only way he comes here is as a walk on which isn't out of the question. We have 1 ship (maybe 2) and we are looking at juco athletes plus D1 transfers.

I really like Javier Duren and Christian Kirk...this summer will be key for them

I agree it is a long shot. The reason I thought we might have a chance was this:

Don't worry, Bradley is recruiting him.

Duren is part of my plan with Reeg being Plan A...

Kirk is a stud, but I think he may put himself out of our range with a good summer...

Duren is good friends with current Bear Keith Pickens

Kirk is a stud but at 6'7" he needs to be able to hit a jumpshot to raise his stock. He plays very hard, rebounds out of space, decent around the basket and can finish above the rim...perfect Valley 4/5. His older brother and sister were both Bears so we have a shot. There is even some talk around Springfield of him transferring back to Springfield Kickapoo which would be good for Kickapoo.

The really good players from Missouri are coming from the Southeastern Corner. I live in that area, and wouldn't be shocked if Mike Porter is an All-Valley guy someday.

Bradley should be looking down there, as it is a very lightly recruited area and there are at least 5 D1 guys avail.

                Good observations...

Kirk does remind me of a smaller Adam Koch

You have to really want to get there that is for sure SE MO is loaded for sure and Otto Porter will make coaches make the trip down there next year. We offered him a long time ago but now all the big boys are coming out to play.

We really missed Mike this year and I look forward to a full season of him healthy. I wish Valley fans could have seen how good that kid is but hopefully he stays healthy next season.
