I remember the interview that John did when he first committed to BU and that he had a big smile and a great personality. I remember thinking what a great addition he would be to the BU family. I still think BU is the best place for him to get back to playing ball right away and that BU has a great deal to offer him including loyal fans. In the end he needs to do what is best for him but I will keep the faith that we will get to see him in a BU uniform next year!!!!

[QUOTE=Da Coach;175888] And he would probably get more immediate playing time here.
I thought the reason John was considering/verballed to Iowa State was due to immediate playing time there....here he would have to beat out or battle for time with TB and the "entrenched" WE.
What has changed?

If TB and JW played 2 forward spots, they could play at the same time. We know how good TB can be, and if JW is as good as advertised then I don't see them battling for time, nor do I see either playing the center spot so I don't know why they would be battling for time with WE or JP or whoever is at the 5 next year. Even if one came off the bench, I'm sure they would still get starters minutes.

I was just wondering which was the case. More time here or at Iowa State. We were told the reason he chose ISU over BU was for immediate PT.
NOW its immedaite PT at BU.
I get easily confused.....

And I don't see that JW is competing with TB for playing time. TB is a 4, and JW is more of a 3.
When you say we are no longer competing with Iowa State, I thought you said they weren't 100% eliminated earlier.....does that mean they are 99% eliminated? Sorry maybe I'm reading this wrong, but that confused me.

Yeah pt to me sounds like no problem. We just lost out starting sf. Whether tb is at the 3 or 4 and jw is at the 3 or 4 no reason both can't play 25-30 minutes. I don't see either one competing at the 5 with we, jp, and at competing for minutes there.
