I am anxious to see if we can put up some great offensive numbers...
I'm hoping with all the guards we have that we can now apply a bit more pressure on the ball for larger spans of the game.

Love this quote from one of the articles......

While Lemon also has above-average ballhanding skills, we believe that he is much more comfortable at the off-guard position. Kudos undoubtedly go to coach Les on an outstanding job of recruiting him. With both Lemon and Stewart in the fold to go along with current freshman Dyricus Simms-Edwards, it looks as though Bradley's future back court is in place.

???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

        "all the guards"??

we had to un-redshirt a guy last year when we didn't have enough guards...

I thought the reason we didn't see MK was because of defense, he was healthy, and he could score.
I am not worried about what kind of offensive numbers we put up, I'm just worried about scoring 1 more point than our opponent each night, and defense and getting stops is what has killed us. Though not trying to dribble out the clock from the under 8 timeout out on when we have the lead in a game would be nice.

            I really like this......

think about it this way, heres a guy who is an athletic LEFTY, thats going to play in an offense that sets alot screens . That is the hardest thing to guard, is a athletic lefty that can play off screens, and get to the lane and finish with contact, Bu has never had that type of player. way off base but that is what seperate Manu Ginobili.

DD got hurt and we played a few guys out of position so we had to play 4 guards at a time. Now if we get a real 5 WE becomes the 4 and TB a 3. So that leaves us with some real depth 1-3!

EM, DSE, SM, DD, AW, JE, WL! I call that a deep bench at the guard position and a little weak with the bigs. So I'll stand by my statement with "all the guards."

Reggie Hall was an athletic lefty. I don't think what hand you shoot with really makes much of a difference unless you're a post player.

We have plenty of guards T...we haven't lost any but Chris and he gets replaced with a fresh Dodie...

Maybe our Coach could become instantly smart and play all of them and implement a 2-2-1 press to help out the D a little bit...

I'd love to see a 10-man rotation and run up and down the floor and press...

Can't see why we wouldn't have the athletes to do it...

When don't we play "a few guys" out of position?! We've been doing it since 07...

Also, as much as you and I would both enjoy seeing that lineup and rotation, we both know its not going to happen...Les loves his 3-4 guard lineups...

I'd settle on a 3 guard lineup myself IF:

                    - we pressed and trapped
                    - we played 10-12 guys
                    - we had a legit 5 to go with Taylor and Will at the 4

My dream lineup would be: Starter (Bench)

                    - Legit 5 (JP/AT)
                    - Taylor (Will)
                    - Andrew (Dodie/Milos)
                    - Sam (Jake/Dodie)
                    - DSE (Edge)

Sounds like a good player, cannot compare to Chris Roberts because he is 6-2, need to get a center and another 6-6 wing , I know we only have 2 scholarships left but someone always leaves so we still need 2 more good players that are big.

I know this hasn't been discussed but how about someone with long arms who can play some lockdown on the ball D...

You made me think of this when you mentioned losing Chris.

And yes, once again, there is my 6'9" 265 player I am waiting for...

Great news with this kid, sounds like he could be good!

I would agree with you, maybe JL knows someone is going? If no one is going then it would make it tough to choose between a big and JW. I would take JW just cause of the talent he supposedly has. Maybe JL also knows something we don't in terms of the development of AT, JP, WE. Maybe we won't need another big? JP should be better than SS, WE and AT will hopefully improve a lot, so we can't be any worse than last year at the 5 spot, maybe we will be a lot stronger and better.

Also everyone saying that our future back court is DS, DSE, WL, what about JE? I think he will be a very good starter someday. Lot of talent at the guards for the future! I would think with 7 guards next year, somebody will redshirt next year.

I think we need to also think of two things with this signing as well

                            1. Someone always leaves the program. Not a knock on it but it just seems to happen every year.

                            2. At some point an injury happens during the year where we are in need of another guard to step up.

I know everyone is drooling with the idea of a big time 5 that can impact right away but I just don't know if that is realistic at this point. Would love to see it and agree we need one, but can we really find someone with the skills to score inside at this point?

I hope nobody leaves and we remain healthy next year. But with two scholarships open I pretty much expected one of them would go to a guard.
