OK, I'll probably take heat for this, but did it seem like the way the game was called tilted to KU's favor over the last 8 minutes of the game. They came out of a TO with UNI having the ball & a 12 point lead & it seemed that no KU player could commit a foul no matter how aggressive.

I think for a non-BCS team to win in a game like that they truly have to pull off a complete game and own the opposition, refs and environment from start to finish. What an awesome display by UNI.

A lot of us will think it was a good shot just because it went in.

Self was still a little smug after the defeat! Not once did he say how well UNI played. They lost because his guys had a bad day not that UNI dictated that.

Ben Jacobsen said as much and he was hoping that Ali would let it fly! I also thought that the reffs at one point let the game get alot more physical then it was in the 1st 1/2. They did call it though fairly evenly IMO.

I disagree.....they could have called Koch for over the back foul on his putback dunk and we've all seen blocks called instead of a charge in the last minute in the lane.....the game was called pretty well IMO

Believe it or not I agree Lefty! What I did not like was how they allowed the game to get a bit more physical from one 1/2 to the next but it was called evenly and at the end that is all you can ask for.

I am going to agree with you guys as well. I thought that it was a very well officiated game.

I thought it was a bad shot. I was like "Oh haha he looked and almost shot it...WHAT he just shot it!"

It generally seems that anytime a good college shooter is just standing there, gets the ball and nobody is rushing at the player, that's a H O R S E shot that will go in. Fundamentally, that was a perfect, high percentage 3-point shot opportunity. When I think bad shot, that's when you are off-balance or rushing or have limited vision...

Given the game situation and what was at stake.... That's where we can talk all day. Would most of us want SM taking that shot if given the same circumstances?
