All we need is a good big.
We could have won all 5 of the home games we lost this year. I don't see why next year should be any different, big or no big.

Let's not just talk about those should've, would've won games but I believe a real big will give us the ability to really compete at another level and put two WE and TB in position to really improve their stats. WE hit a wall because he was banging with guy bigger then him all year long. We played pretty good D this year but had trouble rebounding. A big can make a huge difference for this team IMO.

2 we need to recruit someone 6'7" + and 240# + who can score and play d
3 we seed to recruit a two who can shoot and play d
Having dd back will help if he can play some point for us.
Otherwise i am afraid it will be another long season.
W.E. adding more weight and muscle would help, A.T. equals a lost cause, 6-8 250 lb. center that can play equals great chance at a championship.

Yeah, let's just forgot they ever happened. If we do that, then we'll never get better. Maybe that's why we never get better.

I agree.....next year we have DD instead of CR and JP instead of SS. All we have to do is close out the games we should, especially at home.

I should've put after my previous post, since some people seem to think a good big is all a team really needs.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

If the staff decides to actually implement an inside game, to provide a little consistency when outside shots are not falling, next year might be different. But if we keep thinking, "if the guards just played a little better, we would of won.." won't get us enough over the hump. because on average, we may improve some of those games, but we'll blow others.

Yes, we return 3 of the top (5 or 10) guys, because on average we score a lot. On average, we seem to do a lot of things well, but half by half we have highs and lows, and you need more than "potential" when you are experiencing a low. You need a more steady proven system than 4 guards when you hit a low. That's when you need a big to make their own high-% shots, or actually be able to help on D when a guard over-gambles.. That's when actual depth beyond the starting 5 helps...

I looked to see if I had the word forget in my post. Help me find that word or anything close to that. I want to remember those losses and all the others. Why we lost and what we did right and wrong need to be evaluated and built on. I hope the staff does a recap of every game and keeps notes so they can build on the good, the bad and the ugly!

I would bet if we had a big and we might not have lost those games. A few rebounds here, a rested WE playing the 4 and one never knows. JMHO!

Lack of execution is why we lost those games, not lack of size. More depth and more size would obviously be great to have, but it's not why we lost 5 home games this year.

Just maybe it was because we had no size and were committed to our guards launching 3s and the inability to stop the other teams from having 2nd shots consistently? Lack of execution to some degree had a part but the ability to get pond the ball inside may be another attribute lacking from those games. I get you point a big alone will not cure all our ills. I get it but it would help us cure those ills.
