In a premium Rivals article on the Kansas site...there an entire discussion about how the kids on the Kansas team have
worked "so hard" and to..........
"go through so much adversity that we did through individuals on our team and whatnot"..
that they really deserved to go out as champions...they deserved BETTER!!!
Then they kinda hint at all the "adversity" those poor Jayhawks have had to put up with...
-the riots on campus that the basketball players were the instigators
-the arrests of several players for shooting guns on campus, DUIs, and then the lawsuit against Sherron Collins for sexual assault...
-all the negative press and intense pressure they get just because they are Kansas
-how they land such top recruits that some leave for the NBA and don't stay around for all their eligibility

Self Outcoached

One thing that was accurate in this article was the description of Bill Self. He was CLEARLY outcoached by Jacobsen. Every time the camera panned to Self during the game he had a look of anger and disgust -- constantly berating his players. Every time you saw Jacobsen he was cool, calm, and collected -- just like his players. I particularly loved his reaction when O'Rear air-balled that free throw early in the game. I think his attitude just carried over to his player and they played the game free and easy with nothing to lose.

I liked that reaction too and no water bottle ended up on the court I want to add my congratulations to UNI. It was a fun game to watch and they never trailed expect for 2-0 at the start. Go Panthers!!

Wow What a game
I took my wife to the river boat in Bettendorf Iowa today. Gave her some change, and went directly to my favorite watering hole (SPORTS FANS) by 11:30. GREAT PLACE for food and cold BEER'S All (6) young lady barmaids Had some cold ones and watched the St.Marys game. Had some more cold ones and watched the Butler game. Then I watched the Northern Iowa game, had a bunch more cold beers with a lot of their fans. Met some good NIU fans who I told I was a BU fan, and they just had to buy me more cold ones after the great win I had a great time and my wife can valch for me on it
Anyway what a great game NIU played And what about Farokhmanesh and the play of Egelseder. I for one thought Egelseder would get his lunch today by Aldrich, who I considered one of the best BIG MEN in college. Those 3 point shots by Egel. was just about more than the place could take. Then that last 3 point shot by Farokhmanesh that iced it, had to be one of the greatest I have ever seen as he could of pulled up and went for a set play shot. Unbelievable!
NOW, I ASK YOU HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO HAVE BIGS AT THE 4 and 5 THAT CAN PLAY AND WHAT IT DOES FOR THE GUARDS LOOK AT ST. MARYS, BUTLER AND NIU IN OTHER WORDS, A INSIDE/OUTSIDE GAME CAN MAKE A TEAM THE BETTER

As much as I do not care for Collins I'd suspect his words were not really in comparing the two but trying to put some understanding on how he felt in the moment. Then again this is Kansas and to me starting with Self they have not shown too much class this year.
