Cal up 22-4 early!! Even though Cal is the 8 in this 8/9 matchup, most were picking Louisville. Someone said earlier they would be surprised if both Pac-10 teams won, well it looks early like they might, I picked both so it makes me happy ....but what does it say about the Big East once again, that as terrible as the Pac-10 has been all year, the 2 teams in for the Pac-10 might take out 2 Big East teams!!!

I guess this goes to show people that momentum is overrated and has less to do with the overall results of the tournament. For example, Purdue looked like the "walking dead" at the Big Ten tournament, and Siena had won a game at the previous two NCAA Tournaments. So of course Purdue played the best game in a month while Siena struggled.

Ditto now with the Pac-10 over the Big East. Not a good showing for the Big East this year so far!

Half courter hit by Cal to end the half! Louisville was getting into the flow too, big shot. Cal-41 Louisville-30 at the half.

Just noticed I spelled Louisville wrong in the thread title.

          OOOPs

Well this was one of the games I was most confident in my brackets. I told people I thought Cal would lose by 20. Oh Well.

With the talent that Louisville has - McD All Americans and 5-Star guys riding the bench...
how are they NOT any better than this??

They finished the season in ther Big East losing NINE of their final 17 games!!!
And going all the way back to New Year's Eve, their record over that span was 10-10......
..and bad losses to Charlotte, Western Carolina, UNLV, St. John's...

In the end it leaves you wondering, just how can a 6th place team from a conference that's horribly overrated...and losing just about ALL of its post-season teams...how does Louisville get into the NCAA and get a seed that's as good as UNI and better than Mizzou or St. Mary's??
