      Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

So - next time someone says we need to STOP recruiting guards....check back on this thread.....
You're right ... let's just stay with our church-league, 6 foot and under line-up. More Guards is the key. Those 7 footers had nothing to do with UNI or St. Mary's success.

Northern Iowa was the 13h best team in limiting opponent's offensive rebounding. Bradley was 179th. Ali sure can block out. Maybe we need to teach our guards to shoot and rebound.

UNI"s guards get good open shots because they have an inside game , you get more open looks for your guards when you have a good post player, look at the teams that are in the tour. and you will find each one of them has a decent center.
