  • BU Foes

The last team BU faced last season and 1st team they faced this season both won today.

First time I've seen the Jimmer, and he's pretty good. Did he get P.O.Y. in the MWC? BYU seems like a poised, veteran group that might give K. State some trouble in the next round.

ODU has to be pleased with the strides they made from last year to this one. Just think...if BU had won the CIT championship instead of ODU, it would be BU in their position - moving onto round 2!! Then again...

Just because, I've included the teams in the Big Dance that BU has faced this season and last year's CIT tourney:

    #7 OK State
    #7 BYU (WON)
    #9 UNI
    #11 ODU (WON)
    #13 Wofford
    #14 Oakland

Plus Illinois won in the NIT yesterday. It just shows what our team COULD have been, and makes what our team really was all the more disappointing. I'm sorry, people can downplay expectations after the fact all they want, we should have been part of this. The talent is there.

I definately agree with you here BB. Bradley had one of the most talented teams in the Valley this year.

IMO, even without the big man, high NIT should have been expected, NCAA's very possible...

Suspensions and disruptions, players playing soft and not to their full ability for 40 minutes, no consistency and coaching errors = lost of any gain from talent = not meeting expectations = disappointment

Hopefully the players feel some of this disappointment as added motivation for next year.
