Someone please try to convince me the Valley was not a crappy league this season. We just saw our 3rd place team (12-8 in conference) get completely handled by the 5th place A-10 team (9-9 in conference).
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

As much as I hate to say it about isu.....a Valley loss is never a good thing when it comes in the real postseason (not the MVC tournament).
Just pure embarrassment.

Generally it makes me mad when people on this sight constantly pick on ISU for different things. I don't like ISU , but we have plenty of problems too. I was willing to make an exception tonight though. I am angry at ISU for making it look like they have one of the better teams in the Valley every year. They play nobody, people think they are decent, then they fold at the end. I am sick of it making the Valley look bad. It is bad enough without them this year. They need to schedule someone in the Pre-Valley season.
Anyway I wanted to go over to Valleytalk and thank ISU sarcastically for another fine postseason performance. It is down. Did they just fold up shop after the Valley's performance?

I will take looking a little worse as a league if it means isu going down. I can pull for most other teams, but not isu. I am ok with cutting off my nose to spite my face in this case.

As a BU fan, I hate ISU too...and we can whine about ISU and WSU not representing us well, but the Valley WAS down this year, and WE certainly can't cast stones, since we lost TWICE to hated ISU We need to look in the mirror and figure out a way to improve ( as we have never finished above 4th place in this league under Les!)
A real embarrassment for the Valley last night (ISU and WSU losing).
I am thinking that the 10 day lapse between games may have put a little rust on both these teams. No excuses though.
Terrible way to go out for OE, DO, and LP on ISU.
I think Osiris has gotten a little worse every year since his sophomore season.
He had 2 airballs and a missed point-blank dunk in the 25 minutes I watched last night. Doesn't sound too pro to me. I don't think he took this year as seriously as he should have.
Kudos to Missouri St. this year for being a team that exceeded expectations and played every game tough and has fairly close road losses. Nice turn-around from last year! 11-20 to 21-12 (so far) Cuonzo's doin' something right.
Kudos to Missouri St. this year for being a team that exceeded expectations ....
agree...they did play well at times...but they still finished 7th in the league, and after a 10-0 start against a schedule that was almost as weak as ISU's...
they finished out the last 3 months at 10-12....BUT THEY DID KNOCK OFF ONE OF THE SUN BELT'S BETTER TEAMS.
after the loss, Jank has a nice spin.....he said this will be good for his team...
"They basically whipped us. They showed us a lot of our weaknesses that we have to improve in the offseason. We’ll be back next year a better team.”
ISU coach Tim Jankovich was hopeful the way they lost will — in time — make a positive impact on his players.
“It’s something that motivates you to say, ‘I need to get better at this and that, and we need to get better at this and that."
“Our guys who are returning, it’s good they felt that.....it’s good to feel no false sense of security, particularly going into the offseason. http://www.pantagraph.com/sports/col...cc4c002e0.html
