  • Lawrence Wright is a celebrity back home

Here is a nice article about Lawrence Wright and his visit back to Yuba from his hometown newspaper.
Boogie was surprised when he was treated like a celebrity.

    Here are a couple quotes--
???ぎ?的 just wanted to come home and visit my parents. I didn't think that people would be recognizing me everywhere that I go,???ぎ?? said Wright, a Wheatland High and Yuba College product who signed with the famed Harlem Globetrotters in July. ???ぎ?的've seen all my old friends and they're pretty excited, so it's a good feeling to know that I did so much in just a short amount of time.???ぎ??
Wright returned to Yuba this week to work out with the 49ers, drawing a large crowd in his first day back.

    Nice pic of Boogie

    Jesse Drury/Appeal-Democrat
Former Wheatland High and Yuba College star Lawrence Wright, right,
attempts to steal the ball from Yuba City product Kevin Cordano
during a class last week at Yuba College. Wright, a Bradley University
graduate who helped the Braves reach the NCAA Sweet 16 in March,
has signed to play with the Harlem Globetrotters. The Globetrotters
are in Sacramento on Jan. 17.

I checked to see if the Globetrotters will be playing in Peoria, and they are not! Below is their scheduled games in Illinois. The closest they play to Peoria is Springfield, Moline, Rockford, and Chicago. It would have been nice to see Boogie play here.

      Congratulations to Boogie!

That would be nice to see Boogie play in a Globetrotter jersey. I wonder how much playing time he will get?
