Local TV News reports had him talking about DSE... and having him be a reason why he chose. Though he was "mad" that DSE already claimed #32.

He's listed as 5'11"..... Same size as SM. But if he's a player it really doesn't matter.

He probably sees the fact that Huggins has been 3 different places in 4 years and well, DePaul doesn't even have a coach right now and would be essentially having to start its recruitment all over.
Huggins is not leaving WVU for anyone. He is where he wants to be so you comment really does not hold.

Sometime rivals in one stage of your life does not mean you cannot become friends in another.

I agree SFP. He is a cult hero in WVA and is now home for good, I believe.

which will cause anguish to some I am sure...
Great signing by BU if DS can become a (or the) top MVC PG

All the anguish for some disappears if BU starts winning more often...

Some of the 'some' referred to just care about better results...nothing personal about JL. Some of the 'some' have less patience than others in waiting for this to happen at BU.

Hopefully JL can now deliver more wins with better, more experienced, talent. And don't forget that new on campus practice facility!

However, I simply hope it is in the context of on the court playing as rivals (as mentioned) not as people off the court. So I hope they will get along as teammates...

I walked next to him one day. I am 5' 9 1/2" and I remember thinking how small he was about my size maybe a little taller. I didn't ask him to stand back to back. But he is short. He has a knack to drive inside and get shots off though. He will be fine.

                • I know Donivine has his strengths and weaknesses but did anyone else find it unusual that he did not receive any recognition from the Associated Press. They just released the 1st team, 2nd team, and honorable mention all state picks for 3A and Stewart was not mentioned. Maybe I missed something but I could not find his name.

                  • That is the Associated Press All-State team, and it always seems to favor the Chicago area players, and the teams that go far into the playoffs. I think just about every first teamer on that 3A All State team was from schools that made it to the Elite 8.
The IBCA All-State team (not announced yet) is better at recognizing downstate kids.

I am glad to hear this, I really like JL and think this program looks to be on the rise, we would have been more nationally recognized already had we got a couple breaks the last few years. If we get a few breaks the next couple years, I think things look good.

It may be true that it favors Chicago area players but there were several area kids on the 3A teams. Deal, Richwoods was first team. Bielfeldt, Notre Dame second team. Frazier and Lundeen honerable mention. I to am surprised he didn't receive some mention but I'm not sure it was Chicago bias.

Like the Valley awards where a team finish may have an impact on votes?

I thought we were talking about "awards/recognition" that have nothing to do with reality. Sorry.
