The CIT has explicitly stated they go for the mid-majors.
In fact, the CBI is nearing death, I'd say. It's pretty clear most of the BCS want no part of these tourneys, especially when so many of them are getting in the back end of the NIT. The CIT is going after the right teams. The CBI built itself around getting the bigger name brands, and it's not working.
I could see them expanding even if they want to. If the CBI folds I bet they go to 24.Comment

Bradley I'm assuming would have had the opportunity to make it 7 if they wanted, so not bad, but I'd like to see the conference start transitioning teams from just being in a post season to being in a good postseason. I think next year will be better for the conference, although this year wasn't terrible. Scheduling was the big thing.Comment
