Not likely to happen. Tulsa will beat Illinois in round 2 and ISU will lose round 1 to Dayton.

Stony Brook is 22-9 and won their conference's regular season title. They'll beat an unmotivated Illini team.

tulsa won't beat illinois. then again it all depends how motivated illinois...i think they will try to win it because they want to prove they belonged in the NCAA

Congrats to Illinois St. and Northwestern for making the NIT field, though NW may have been the last one in based on their seeding.

And Illinois St. playing a weak schedule along with a decent showing in Valley play gets them in, but again with a fairly poor seed. They too were probably one of the last four in, but again blame their soft schedule for that. But good to see them in anyway at least to give the Valley two NIT teams.

Yeah right, UNC a 4 seed?! I guess it pays to play in a conference where you get rewarded with an NIT home game after losing 10 out of 12 games! My guess is that UNC will draw more than other teams. Therefore the attendance factor obviously still dictates seeding no matter what nonsense the NIT committee tries to feed us! At least the CBI and CIT committees are honest when it comes to that fact.

Where does it report who gets the home games?

The show on ESPN said that Illinois would be traveling to Stony Brook since there's a scheduling conflict with the Assembly Hall.
