can't be, it's such a low level tournament - surely good fans want better - so give 'em time, they'll start bellyaching..

I think this is good for the 'Jays - will give them a chance to feed off of playing decent near the end of the season. Good experience for Josh Jones and Runnels (who needs to step up for them next season in the frontcourt)
I think Dana has guys with the right attitude for the 1st time in a few years in Omaha.

Yeah! We'd better not hear any more cr@p from CU fans about this being a second rate tournament for losers!

          I would sure hope so!
Some see a hopeless end, while others see an endless hope.

I would have no problem playing in ant post season tour. except for the fact that we need our coaches out recruiting at least 2 players that can contribute next season and hopefully one that is a true center.

Their excitement is much like it was for BU 3 years ago. Off of a NCAA to NIT to we are still in something. If they go to the other than NIT tourney a couple more years the fans will make noise.

How can they accept mediocrity there? Embarrassing to be invited to those, let alone happy about it. Fire Dana Altman, the program is going on a down hill slope, 3 consecutive years of declining post seasons, NCAA, NIT, CIT. What's next for them the EIEIO tournament?? There program has no direction and they have too many player problems as evidenced by Stinnett. Unbelievable.

Maybe for this year at least. And I would think they would have to be one of the favorites to win it all.

                      Great post BUfan14!

No, the EIEIO tournament isn't in existence yet. That will be three years from now, after the Alphabet Soup tournament starts up next year!

IF Bradley had anywhere near the CU success the last decade I'd be "acceptable" of the CBI for a once in about 8-10 year thing but come talk to me IF they are in a position to get invited to the same tourney next year AND the year after that.

I don't think the CU fans will accept the mediocrity a program needs to achieve to get a coveted invitation to the CBI aka, eieio....

I don't know how anyone else "read" this but "happy" isn't how I interpreted it.

More like...accepting....making the best of it.....rationalizing.....realistic......

Like I said in another post.....lets see how "happy" they are IF they are in the same position next year AND the year after that.

I can say with alot of confidence "happy" won't define CU nation.

I don't think there's any difference in the fan bases at all...
both strongly support their teams but..
in reality, when a less-than-marquee game comes up, Bradley does an even BETTER job than Creighton of filling the seats and supporting the team!!

Bradley's attendance for the 2007 NIT game at Carver Arena was 8304
and BU's average for the home games in all the tournies of 2007, 2008, 2009 was around 7500......
Creighton's attendance last night for their home game was 4348..despite a fan base that fills 15000 seats during the regular season...
