Since I was in St. Louis, I forgot to post about this.
On Saturday, the Bradley women beat Missouri St. 65-64 on Senior Night to close out their season. Here is the article from the Bradley Athletics site.
It sounds like the Braves got down to a pretty big deficit but made a comeback and pulled out the close one. With the win, they finished in a tie with Missouri St. for 3rd place in the conference because Creighton beat Indiana St. on Saturday also. Unfortunately they lost the tie-breaker and will have the 4th seed going into their tournament next weekend. The win against Missouri St. also was Bradley's last game at ICC where they have had a very good "home" record. Hopefully the new arena will be as friendly to them as LORAM was.
Their next game will be 2:30 on Friday against UNI who they are 1-1 against with each team winning at home. When the women win Friday, there is a good chance that they will play ISU on Saturday in the semis.
I know I'll be down there for their games so if you are bored and looking for something to do, head down to St. Charles, MO and cheer on the Bradley Women.
Also here is the box score for those who are interested...
One last thing, when I was in St. Louis, I heard that there was another Post-season tournament starting up this year for Women's basketball. Does anybody know if there is any truth to this?
