But I thought people on here know EVERYTHING about Division I College Basketball.

Caterpillar does support the university in a number of ways, but has never had any significant involvement in the Athletic programs at BU. And they certainly never had any say whatsoever about the coaching selection.

Wayne McClain would not be considered for the head coaching job at Bradley. Period.

And the statement about Peoria always being a basketball talent hotbed, is not so true recently, either. Not since Shaun Livingston and the Manual players of the mid-late 90's has there been an abundance of D1 talent from Peoria. In recent years, there have been only a few D1 talents.

How many D1 players have there been from Manual since Frank Williams graduated in 1998?
        In recent years-
Richwood had Bill Cole a few years ago, and Justin Dehm. Anyone else?
Woodruff- can't think of any other than Rodney Edgerson, who was at Washington State briefly, but hardly ever played. He finished his career at D2.
Central- help me out- have there been any D1 players from Central since Coach Buescher left? D.J. Richardson was from Central, but left and graduated from a prep school in Las Vegas.
hey, im a recent woodruff grad, dont short stick Arsenio Mims playing at Western... it is still D1!!

I read the Illinois boards (there are at least five major ones if you want the links) pretty regularly, and a few of their posters who have Peoria in the screen names are especially vocal yet inaccurate and ignorant of things actually going on in Peoria and at BU, yet because they are deemed to be Peoria guys by the rest of the posters, their words are swallowed like they're gospel...
They even occasionally criticize the BU message boards, but several U of I fans I know tell me personally they find more useful and accurate info here than on any Illinois board.

I think these last couple names are proving my point that the D1 talent from Peoria is not nearly what it was a decade or more ago.

I'll continue to cover and corroborate Charlotte. You got USC SFP?

Mims is a walk on - so if you're gonna include him then you have to list Lavin, Phillips, Thornton, and Billy Molinari
