  • Should we play in the CBI or CIT?

What does the board think we should do overall?
Since many have been throwing opinions out on different threads, I thought I start a poll to see what the overall feel is...I think we should.

I think JE, MK, DSE, and AT should get the majority of the playing time, but I still think we should regardless.

Yes, having more games and experience is always good
    43.90%
    36
ONLY is the young guys play the majority of the time (MK, AT, JE, DSE)
    18.29%
    15
No I don't want to be in these again
    37.80%

    The poll is expired.

Whatever the players and coaches want, but personally I say no. Postseason should be a reward for a good season. This wasn't a good season.

I see absolutely no real reason not to. If the players want to do it who are we to say they shouldn't? It brings money, experience, and gets our name out there.

So I hope everyone realizes if you don't already it should be ONLY if not ONLY is , I have no idea how to edit the poll.

The CBI and CIT should be used to develop the team for next season. Get players involved who BU is counting on to help with next year's team, even if means jepoardizing their 20 win season streak....Next year should be the focus now since everything is pointing to next year being BU's year.

I voted for #2. I'd like to see how these four can play together and you could throw in either TB/WE/CR with them. We haven't seen many of those combinations all year. But if we do it, it shouldn't have to cost Bradley money on the bottom line... we've already given them a vacation to Brazil. And the new AD is going to have to take charge here and insist that we the fans get to see JE, MK, DSE and AT all in the game together for much more than then just a few minutes.

I voted yes, because IMO, any college basketball game is better than watching spring training baseball. And I love baseball.
However, I would qualify my vote to say- only if the team and coaches decide they want to play more games.

I love baseball too, but the Cubs aren't giving me much to look forward to unfortunately. I really love watching Bradley games, so one more month of games no matter how meaningful is something I selfishly want. I'd love to see some of the other players get a chance to play and see what they can do as well. So I really hope the players and coaches decide yes, but I would understand if they didn't and would be fine with what they decide.

BU RICK, I saw another thread were someone mentioned SM and TB being hurt, so they could rest up, and we could play WE and AT together. CR as a senior could still get time, so a lineup of DSE, JE, MK, WE, AT with AW, CR, and SS off the bench would be fun to experience. Who knows AT could develop into a good 5 for next year plus 40 more pounds. And we would still have veteran guys to come in and lead us, and make it good games.

Put me down for yes if the players and coaches want to.

I know I was a little flippant toward one of your posts last night, but I agree with you that I couldn't care less about 20 wins this year outside of winning the CBI or CIT championship outright.

I think any postseason tournament is always a good thing. Now I know the last two have not enhanced our Valley standings, but they definitely have helped develop our young players, as evidenced particularly by the play of DSE and JE this year. I think some more games can help out even more, but next year has to be the year we make a significant jump in the standings.

I say no, I'd rather the coaches concentrate on recruiting.

We have proof from the past 2 years that we did not have a better following season because of that participation.

I would be excited, though, if we participate and play other BCS schools. Other mids to lows, not so much.

I think we can play and concentrate on recruiting at the same time. I don't think Les is going to shut his phone off just because he is still coaching.

I like the idea of playing other BCS schools. That is why I would lean more towards the CBI. But again, that's up to Les and the players where and if they want to keep playing.

If you're going to play the game you play to win. No knock on any of those guys, but why would we play games and leave our arguably two best players out?

I feel like.... These tournaments help level the playing field, to allow non bcs schools get that extra experience... clubs that play an average of 35 games or more will be better than clubs that play 35 games or less. Now, lets imagine if we do not get a bid to these tournaments, then id like to hear peoples reaction! Id rather get bids from C or D turnaments, rather than even be rejected by them!
