40 - Hey at least we got a point a minute
This is why I think we needed to play more players this season so we could get them in today. UNI subbed 5 guys at a time throughout the game and while their second string is not as good as their first, at least they could hold their own, allowing their main players to get some breathers. With the Braves, subbing was not an option today because nobody outside of the 7-8 who played all season would play successfully on that big of a stage having no experience. I mean, where was Milos, Sticks, Eddren, etc? Were they not deserving of at least a few minutes per game throughout the course of the year to prepare them for the tournament and a potential 3 games in 3 days situation? In my honest opinion, we were gassed from yesterday and I thought it showed as we were outhustled and shots kept coming up short.
One more thing....I love Snell and Coach B on the radio...I think they do a great job and love listening to them. However, I really don't like how whenever we get beat or blown out like today they say "sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the other team." I know they are supposed to be positive, but was that really the case today. Did UNI play so well that they were 16-18 points better than us the whole day? Or did the fact we were outrebounded, had just 7 assists to 14 turnovers, or outscored in bench points 25-9 have anything to do with it? You can't always credit the other team. Sometimes I think they need a reality check and see just how bad we are at times. I'm not saying this team is bad, but I am saying we played awfully bad at different times throughout the season. Including today.
Very disappointed!!
