  • End of an Era

I don't know what all teams aside from Bradley, people on this board follow, but I'm sure as many of ya'll are aware, tomorrow College Basketball will be saying good bye to one of the great venues in the game, Freedom Hall.

Presumably Louisville will make the tourny and if they don't i'm not sure they would host NIT games there anyhow. Tomorrow's 2 o'clock game against #1 Syracuse will be the last call.

I've been a bit misty-eyed about it all week.

CB - I had season tix and saw all the Louisville home games at Freedom Hall in 1979-80 when Darrel Griffith, Jerry Eaves, Rodney & Scooter and the team were high flying and exciting...
But can't say I'd miss the old place........

That new place is gonna be NIIIICCCEEEEE, though! The house that Pitino built, and then now he's looking at possibly leaving. Louisville is a great sports town though and a great city overall! Freedom Hall will be missed!
