  • Corey Hawkins does it again

Corey Hawkins now has also broken Henry Bibby's single season Arizona high school scoring record.

the Pac-10 is going to drop down to the mid-major level for a couple years...
too bad for Corey...maybe he can be part of the resurgence in the future...

among the 10 Pac 10 teams only thee have fewer than 10 losses, and those three have 9 each...
Only 3 of the Pac 10 teams have records about .500 in both the league and overall...
By just about all criteria, the MVC is every bit as strong as the Pac 10...
YET-- jus this morning I read someone saying that the Pac 10 would get 3 teams in the NCAA!!!
Gimme a break...two of the top 3 teams in the league (Arizona St 180 & Washington 130) have horrible non-conference SOS!!
Ariz State's best non-conference win was over San Diego state, then the 2nd best was over 180 RPI TCU!!

Likewise Washington hasn't beaten anyone except Belmont!

Too bad we did not land another Hawkins

There's a little blip about Corey in the "Faces in the Crowd" section of this weeks Sports Illustrated. Has a picture and tells about his feats.

          Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

I will guarantee you if anyone but Cal wins the conference tourney, Cal, ASU and the winner of the tourney gets an invite. ASU if they beat UCLA this weekend and win one game it that tourney they secure an atlarge.
