I thought it was a good game. I liked watching it. SM is hurt so we'll give him a break. AW was sick so he should get the pass. WE got crap fouls on him all game keeping him out so that's the reason for him. So all of those things considered and having two players with career nights yet still losing I'd say it was a successful game.
Well I'm not crazy about having to play Creighton again, but maybe better on a neutral court than in Omaha, though it may not make much of a difference.
I did not hit the chat room today as I am watching psumani coverage in Hawaii caused by that huge 8.8 magnitude earthquake in Chile early this morning. Fortunately it does not look like a major psumani, just a 1 meter or less fluctuation of the water for a few hours. Of course I also forgot the game was on at 2 and not 7! Oops! Not that this mattered, but well, we cannot have these type of defensive lapses if we even have a prayer of getting by Creighton in the first round. I also think Creighton might be the toughest team to play in St. Louis. But again, they are playing great as of late and look as good as anyone to steal the Valley Tournament title this year.
The Will Egolf experiment is over. It is time he plays like a man under the rim. If he can't play and be somewhat of a presence consistently, we can't win much more. Might as well play Stix. Let's see if he can do anything.
For whatever reason he seems to fly under the radar...maybe that's because there isn't much else we've got. We are one good big (Diema Odiakosa) away from being a very good team...
Let's see if we can find a good juco for next year still...
Why is it that since the end of the 2006 season it's been a coin toss to know which team will show up?

TB and JE playing great is a great sign. But we need everyone to give us maximum effort if we are to even get by Creighton on Friday. I guess the good news is it's hard for a team to win over the same time three times in a year. But that hasn't stopped teams from doing this before.
Notice how few (if any) uncontested 3-ball shots we had. CU, on the other hand, had 'em over and over and over again. It's a problem that NEVER gets fixed, game after game ... year after year.
JL really put the onus on the players with Snell. He said the emphasis will be on defense in practice this week and whichever 6, 7, 8 players do that will play and those players who don't won't. Needless to say he was very unhappy with todays performance and he's right. Play like this on Friday and it's see ya next season.

I had no idea AW was sick,WE is a 4 and Lawson will keep owning him plain and simple. The reffs though were calling those tick tacky fouls today and WE needs to adjust his game accordingly. They were consistent but I prefer reffs like we had against WSU. I like our chances on Friday if we show up and play D! We need to be agressive on D for 40 minutes not in spurts.

According to DC, AW is sick. He posted earlier in this thread. The good thing about losing this game is that this could be treated like an extended time out. We all know how good JL is coming up with something out of time outs haha.
I don't think this team needs to apologize about this game or this season, I think we played as well as we could and certainly up to our potential, I also think the league just got a bit stronger than we did this year. I'm just like most of you - I want to win all of the time, unfortunately not everyone can, so hopefully things will get better sometime in the future!
Good luck in St. Louis - Bradley! See ya next year but for now it's back to the beach!
